Job Purpose
Support Haworth’s sustainability initiatives by improving the materials used for manufacturing and collaborate closely with Category Managers and Sustainability Leader on obtaining the required certifications through the Life Cycle Analysis
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Collate and track Life Cycle Analysis in order to determine total footprint of recommended furniture, product comparison and support the certification purposes such as Climate Positive Program, Green Guard, GECA Eco Label and LEED through the results of the Life Cycle Analysis
2. Work with Category Managers to review and update the approved list of materials and adhesives (Red Yellow Green list) ensuring the list of materials are consistent with Haworth’s internal guidelines
3. Research, source and evaluate renewable materials and vendors in support for the Green Chemistry initiative
4. Conduct material supplier audits to ensure that suppliers’ Corporate Social Responsibility framework is aligned with Haworth’s requirements
5. Prepare tender product information in the area of recycled content and LEED contribution so as to support the sales team in the tendering process
6. Attend to clients’ or prospects’ enquiries pertaining to the factory and product sustainability
7. Conduct periodic sales training across APAC to equip sales teams with up-to-date product sustainability knowledge
8. Collaborate with Category Managers on introducing and revising processes in order to reduce packaging waste
9. Work closely with EHS team to improvise plant’s energy efficiency and waste recycling activities, conduct ISO 14000 audit to enhance Haworth’s operational efficiency and compliance of required standards

Basic understanding of how each competitor differentiates themselves and with only a limited understanding of latest developments or changes of market conditions in the industry sector.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design, Chemistry or Sourcing
? Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sustainability Research
? Possess basic knowledge on furniture materials
