SUMMARY
Provide Leadership and Management of the Maintenance Engineering Department at the AFAB Sichuan Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
?Leadership: Responsible for establishing the direction, focus, and providing guidance to the Maintenance Engineering department.
?Manage Functional Unit Performance: Responsible for Quality, On-Time, and Cost performance against agreed targets.
?Strategic planning for department within the larger strategy of Operations and the Company.
?Tactical execution of all initiative, developments, changes, etc. that impact the maintenance department at China Operations.
?Building and maintaining relationships with spare part and/or equipment suppliers.
?Organizational Development: Responsible for the development and implementation of an organizational structure that supports production needs spanning multiple shifts.
?Staff Development: Responsible for recruiting, staffing, and training of skilled and semi-skilled positions to support on-going production needs in a high growth environment.
?Required to develop and coach internal candidates for leadership roles.
?Implement and champion continuous process improvement methodologies and techniques.
?Establish process capabilities and controls monitor and perform audits of all processes, provide technical support to operations with existing processes and commercialization of new processes.
?Optimize equipment utilization, determine and implement plant layout, and material flows to optimize operations. Analyze, specify, and implement material/data-handling equipment and systems that costs effectively improve operations.
?Define and coordinate projects with key focus in cost and scrap reduction, efficiency improvements, quality improvements, OEE improvement, Down Time reduction and other equipment improvements
?Provide guidance from a Maintenance process Engineering perspective, in the areas of regulation and compliance.

?Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report all unsafe activities.
?Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

?Candidate must be capable of working with minimal supervision, in a performance oriented, fast paced environment.
?Must posses the ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form with all levels of the organization, with particular emphasis on floor level operations personnel.
?PC Literacy required. Database and statistical analysis tools desirable.
?Due to the high level of process and system complexity within the Aligner Manufacturing process, Manager should have the ability to work through the inters of various systems and understand their impact on the quality of the product.
?Experience working with automated equipment as Robots, Vision Systems, PLCs (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley), Packaging Equipment, HMIs,
?Proven experience in equipment management, down time reduction projects, OEE improvement projects, SMED implementation.
?Proven experience in working with manufacturing and quality department to drive process and equipment improvements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
?Undergraduate degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent. Graduate degree in Engineering is a plus, but not required.
?Ideal candidate will possess 5+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment leading and motivating teams of skilled and semi-skilled workers. Direct experience managing and supervising at the functional department or work unit level is required.
?Direct experience with modern manufacturing process control, process performance measurement, and improvement.
?Experienced in FDA / CFDA regulated or ISO compliant business environments are required.
?As part of the key areas of focus, the Manager, should have knowledge and experience in the areas of statistical process control, in addition to general math knowledge. In addition, should have a good level of understanding of other areas within the business (Tech Development, Marketing, etc), to ensure effective multifunctional engagements between the Manufacturing Process Engineering group and the rest of the organization.
