Accountabilities:
- Strategic planning to develop and maintain and long-term partnership with customers
- Control over customer interactions in the form of local volumes, revenue, and profitability.
- Select and sell to key prospects
- Maximize results by regularly evaluating customer response and prospects in line with Sales Goals and Activity Plan
- Sell complete solutions and concepts
- Focus on existing customer portfolio to increase Geodis’s share of the customer’s potential
- Capitalise on all sales activities within the organisation
- Organise and work in a project management form
- Keep internal organisation informed of activities and customer situation
- Working according to Global Sales Process tools
- Work closely together with sales colleagues and related functions in order to maximize sales potentials and help meet the total organisation’s business goals
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent
- Have senior level management experience, as well as be familiar with the principles and practise of supply chain management.
- Sales experience and working knowledge of the international transportation and logistics industry preferred.
- Familiarity with the financial aspects of the relevant local economy as well as international market conditions and trends, and international business issues, including currency factors and cultural differences.
- Good negotiation techniques
- Good sales techniques; concept sales, customer psychology and purchasing patterns
- Project management skills
- Good computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft office, etc.
- Fluent in local language, comfortable in English and other languages that the job requires to manage customer and other contacts
